I believe in growing things, and in the things which have grown and died magnificently. I believe in people and in the simple aspects of human life, and in the relation of man to nature. I believe man must be free, both in spirit and society, that he must build…

A great thought for you this morning… “There’s no traffic beyond the extra mile.” There’s a societal dissection that tells us 97% make up the majority and the remaining 3% are known as the outliers.  The outliers are the most “successful” around us.  However you define success, the outliers seem…

The cyclone derives its powers from a calm center.  So does a person. -Norman Vincent Peale A “calm center.” I love the ring to that. It suggests a peaceful control. Think we should all be striving towards a “calm center.”

People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily. -Zig Ziglar So true! It’s crucial that we keep ourselves motivated daily. Let’s be candid, life’s tough. What has us stoked to begin one day might wear off another day. We all…

Never regret. If it’s good, it’s wonderful. If it’s bad, it’s experience. -Victoria Holt I really like this. I never cared much for the word ‘regret.’ Live your life looking forward, understanding that all of the decisions and impulses you’ve made have led you exactly to where you are. If…

This book was an amazing read. Doris Kearns Goodwin took a decade to research and write this book. She read through years of documents and letters, incorporating quotes into sentences contructed in a way that reads like a novel. Really got me interested in American history and learned what kind…

Quote of the Week

As humans, becoming addicted is in our nature; really not much we can say or do about it. BUT, we do have full reign on what we become addicted to. So choose to become addicted to positive thinking and physical exercise - become addicted to enhancing your perspective through exploring and experiencing - fall victim to the addiction of loving those that you care about tirelessly and endlessly. Become addicted to the pursuit of a better you.

Focus of the Week

Try shifting your focus each morning to one of trust and thanks. If we rise each morning, trust and are thankful for what has come our way, we’re allowing for greater abundance to fill our lives. Trust and thanks through joy and happiness is important; but to carry that same level of trust and thanks through challenge and trial will change the scope of our lives and allow us to live as freely as we dream.
